Задание С3 - чтение.

Task 1. Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.

Many lands that had once been swamps were drained or filled in. There are different reasons why people drained swamplands. Some were drained to fight diseases caused by insects that lived in them. Because swamps were considered unpleasant places in which to live and harmful to health, many people thought that unless they were drained the land was worthless.

Other swamps were drained to make new land. As the population grew and more land was needed, people drained swamps or filled them to make room for more farms and factories, more roads and airports.

Few people thought that it might be harmful to get rid of swamps. As swamps disappeared, other things happened. There were both more floods and more droughts than before. There were also more fires, for swamps had acted as firebreaks. Hunters noticed that there was less wild game. Wild life that once lived in the swamps was dying out, because it had no place to live.

You are going to visit Japan this summer and you’d like to have more information about the flights to Japan. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask five questions to find out the following:

when you took the photo
what/who is in the photo
what is happening
why you took the photo
why you decided to show the picture to your friend
Don’t forget to start with “I have chosen photo number ….”

I have chosen photo number 1.
To begin with, people keep pets for different reasons. They make our lives more exciting and become the members of our family. They can also be our closest friends forever.

I took this photo last summer in our country house. We have got several pets and this dog is among them. All our pets are friendly and cute creatures.
Let me tell you a few words about this photo. In the background you can see a wonderful Russian landscape. In the foreground there is a wonderful lawn framed with lovely birches and bushes. In the centre you can see my elder sister Sveta and our dog Snowflake. We called him so because he is as white and fluffy as snow.
The weather is fine, sunny and warm. Snowflake likes to go for a walk very much. In the photo Sveta is telling him something to keep him calm. You can’t see me as I am taking the photo.
Taking this photo I wanted to start a collection of our pets’ pictures and to display it on the wall in our living room. Besides, the photos will always remind us of our pets.
I decided to show this picture to you because you told me a lot about your dog. Now it’s my turn to give you the first impression of my pet. Isn’t he friendly and cute?
I believe when you come to our place , Snowflake will accept you as his best friend.
That is all I wanted to tell you about this photo.

In our modern world some jobs are very important for our society.
Here are two pictures to compare and contrast on the topic. This is a photo of a man doing his job outside and that is a photo of a policeman standing on the side of the road.
These two pictures show jobs and this is the first similarity. The people in both pictures are wearing uniforms , and that is also what these pictures have in common. The weather is rather warm.
However, pictures are somehow different. The main difference is that in picture one we can see a worker , while in picture two there is a traffic policeman. Also, their actions are different: the worker is paving a sidewalk and the policeman is on duty watching the traffic on the road.
As far as I am concerned, the job of a traffic policeman (cop) is more important for the society because people of this profession are responsible for our safety and order on the roads. Besides, they control all drivers to keep and obey traffic rules. It is very important for all drivers and passengers’ lives.
I’ve come to the end of my speaking. Thank you for listening.

Task 1

Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. Burney Crouss went to school to study the sounds of nature. For 20 years he has recorded the sounds animals make. He has recordings of animal sounds from all over the world.
Burney has made a record of animal songs. It all began when he took some of the sounds and put them together. Last year, he put together a song he called «Jungle Shoes.» It turned out great.

Burney makes the music by taking part of his animal noises and saving them on a computer. He makes each sound play when a key is pressed. Then he asks other musicians to play the keys into songs. Burney believes in working to save nature. He thinks that more people need to take care of our world. The sounds of nature are quickly disappearing.

When he recorded whales in Alaska, he could hear the sound of oil well drilling from fifteen to twenty miles away. It was very loud. He says his goal is to save nature sounds so his children will be able to hear them.

— Прослушайте несколько раз прилагаемый к тексту аудио файл, обращая внимание на интонационное и фонетическое оформление текста носителем языка.

Из опыта преподавания знаю, что многие студенты не обозначают завершение фразы нисходящим тоном, а наоборот, повышают его, что значительно затрудняет восприятие содержания.

— Не оглушайте звонкие согласные в конце слова, ибо это может изменить лексическое значение слова.

You are considering booking a river trip and now you are calling to find out more information. In 1.5 minutes you are to ask five direct questions to find out about the following:

  • Kinds of amenities (виды удобств на корабле)
  • Reductions for senior citizens (скидки для пенсионеров)
  • If food and drinks available on board the yacht (возможность заказа еды и напитков на борту яхты)

You have 20 seconds to ask each question.

Поскольку вам нужно задать 5 прямых вопросов , вы должны знать, что в вопросительных структурах в английском языке используется обратный порядок слов. Не возможно поставить вопрос, только изменив интонацию предложения, как мы делаем это в русском языке.

Например:

В русском языке

Я могу заказать еду и напитки на борту яхты. (утверждение, интонация нисходящая)

Я могу заказать еду и напитки на борту яхты? (вопрос, интонация восходящая)

В английском языке

В этом задании нельзя задавать косвенные вопросы типа Do you think I can book the trip on the phone или I wonder if I can book the trip on the phone.

You know, every summer we go to the seaside to have a good rest. So, I took this photo two years ago when our family went to Egypt on summer holidays. It was our first trip abroad.

In the foreground of the photo you can see my little brother Dmitry . He is riding a camel on a sandy beach. He looks very happy because he has never done it before. The camel is covered with bright colourful blanket made of wool. It also has got some funny pompons (decorations) on its head. The day is quite hot and sunny and there are no clouds in the sky. So, not to get sunburnt Dima is wearing a T-shirt.

The sea is very calm. You can notice several snow-white yachts (ships) against the skyline. Every day they take people for offshore excursions where one can watch dolphins and exotic species of fish.

As a rule, I always take a lot of pictures while travelling. I often show them to my friends and relatives to share the best and the most thrilling moments of our journeys. That’s why I keep them in my album .

I was really astonished (impressed, struck) by a funny look of the camel. It seems to me that the animal has got a smiling face. I decided to show this picture to you because I think it might improve your mood. I hope you find it amazing, too.

Task 4

Now I am going to compare and contrast these two photos.

To start with I should admit that holidays are an integral part of our life no matter where we live. And these two photos are the evidence of what I have said.

Both pictures show people celebrating Christmas .

The first photo depicts a company of six young people who are enjoying a holiday season on a sandy beach. They are wearing swimming suits, sunglasses and Santa’s hats. I’m not sure but it seems to me that it is a team of life-guards. In the background of the picture you can see a decorated Christmas tree, a large inflatable snowman and Santa Claus.

As for the second picture it shows a young man and a young woman singing carols in the street which is beautifully decorated with lights. The weather is snowy and I suppose it’s pretty cold outside because they are wearing warm clothes, gloves and scarves. Even their dog has got a warm jacket and a scarf and that makes me think (I’ve got a feeling) that these people are very caring and love their pet very much.

As I have mentioned before the main similarity (the most obvious similarity) between these pictures is a festive atmosphere of Christmas. Also I get the impression that people in picture 1 and picture 2 are of the same age and look very joyful. Moreover , both pictures were taken outdoors (out-of-doors / in the open air).

Comparing these two pictures, I’d like to stress out that the most apparent (striking) difference between them is the season of the year. In the first photo the event might be taking place somewhere in Australia because Christmas Day usually falls in the middle of the summer in this country. In contrast, in the second picture you can see people in winter . I can only guess that they are probably British. Besides , picture No 1 was taken during the daytime , while picture No 2 was taken at night .

по АНГЛИЙСКОМУ ЯЗЫКУ

При ознакомлении с демонстрационным вариантом устной части контрольных измерительных материалов ЕГЭ 2016 г. по английскому языку следует иметь в виду, что задания, включённые в него, не отражают всех вопросов содержания, которые будут проверяться с помощью вариантов КИМ. Полный перечень вопросов, которые могут контролироваться на едином государственном экзамене, приведён в кодификаторе элементов содержания и требований к уровню подготовки выпускников образовательных организаций для проведения единого государственного экзамена 2016 г. по английскому языку.

Назначение демонстрационного варианта заключается в том, чтобы дать возможность любому участнику ЕГЭ и широкой общественности составить представление о структуре будущих КИМ, количестве заданий, об их форме и уровне сложности. Приведённые критерии оценки выполнения заданий с развёрнутым ответом, включённые в этот вариант, дают представление о требованиях к полноте и правильности развёрнутого ответа в устной форме. Эти сведения позволят выпускникам выработать стратегию подготовки к ЕГЭ.

Инструкция по выполнению заданий

Устная часть КИМ ЕГЭ по английскому языку включает в себя 4 задания.

Задание 1 – чтение вслух небольшого текста научно-популярного характера.

В задании 2 предлагается ознакомиться с рекламным объявлением и задать пять вопросов на основе ключевых слов.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

В задании 3 предлагается выбрать одну из трёх фотографий и описать её на основе плана.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

В задании 4 ставится задача сравнить две фотографии на основе предложенного плана.

Время на подготовку – 1,5 минуты.

Общее время ответа одного экзаменуемого (включая время на подготовку) – 15 минут.

Каждое последующее задание выдаётся после окончания выполнения предыдущего задания. Всё время ответа ведётся аудио- и видеозапись.

Постарайтесь полностью выполнить поставленные задачи, старайтесь говорить ясно и чётко, не отходить от темы и следовать предложенному плану ответа. Так Вы сможете набрать наибольшее количество баллов.

The mystery of why trees don’t stop growing is still unsolved. Human beings usually stop growing sometime during their teens. Many animals reach full growth within a year. Others are fully grown in just a few years. Birds and insects also stop growing at a certain age. But trees keep growing as long as they live.

Trees live, grow, and reproduce themselves by an amazing process. The thousands of leaves put forth by the tree breathe for it and manufacture its food. Its root system gathers minerals and vast quantities of water. To carry this water to the leaves, the tree is equipped with an intricate circulation system that extends upward from the millions of root hairs through the trunk and branches. The trunk holds the leaves up to the sunlight, sends them water from the roots, and gets food back from them. Then seeds are borne in flowers or cones.

I should say that my family means a lot to me because they are people I can always rely on.

I took this photo two months ago when my parents and I went to Voronezh to visit my elder brother’s family. Recently they have moved into a new flat and invited us to a house-warming party. I always enjoy our trips to Voronezh and think it is a very nice place to live in.

You can see my brother Max, his wife Julia and their daughter Stacy. They are sitting on a comfortable white sofa in the living room. Stacy is sitting on her mother’s lap. They are smiling and seem to be very happy because at last their dream came true. I should say that Max loves his daughter and wife very much and always takes care of them.

There is a white bookcase with open shelves. I like their decision to furnish the room in white colour because it makes the room look wider. As my brother works as a journalist for a local newspaper you can see a lot of books and magazines on the shelves.

My brother lives quite far from our hometown and we can’t see each other very often. So, I always take pictures of him and his family to recollect the moments we spent together . Moreover, I used this photo for my school project called “My Family Tree”. That"s why I keep this photo in my album.

I decided to show this photo to you because you have never seen my niece Stacy who is a very cute and bright girl before.

You know, I’ve got a lot of pictures connected with New Year and Christmas celebrations in my album, but this one is special because our friends from Germany, Hilda and Otto, sent it for us.

It was taken on the 25 th of December in their home in Dresden.

Of course, you can’t see Hilda because she was trying to capture this wonderful moment and I think she did her best.

In the foreground of the picture you can see her husband Otto and her daughter Greta . They are both in a festive mood, smiling at each other. Greta is wearing a lovely red dress which is a traditional colour of Christmas. Her hair is nicely done in curls. She is carrying a Christmas present which, she believes, was brought by Santa Claus. The father and the daughter look very happy.

In the background of the picture there is a decorated Christmas tree.

Hilda’s hobby is photography and she used some special effects such as falling snow in the picture that’s why it looks so magic.

I keep this photo in my album because it’s a kind of “Hello” and a Christmas greeting from our friends from abroad. (I keep this photo in my album because it reminds me of the joy of holiday seasons.)

I decided to show this picture to you because you are interested in photography too and you might also want to use these effects in your photos. So, I hope you enjoyed watching it.

Now I will compare and contrast these two photos.

I would like to point out right from the beginning that hobbies make our life more exciting. And these two photos prove that.

I think that the theme which relates these photos is the way people spend their free time.

Let me start with the first picture which shows a young girl who is in the kitchen at the moment. It looks as if she is going to cook a vegetarian dish because on the left side of the picture you can see a lot of fresh vegetables. I get the impression that the girl leads a healthy life style as she looks very slim and sporty. Although she is wearing shorts and a top, it is not clear from the picture what season of the year it is.

As for the second picture it also shows a young girlwho is enjoying snowboarding in her free time. She is wearing goggles, mittens, and special sports clothing that may protect her from the strong wind when she slides down the hill. Unfortunately , I can’t see her wearing a helmet which might be dangerous . It seems to me she feels excited and looks very confident balancing her snowboard.

As I’ve already mentioned both photos depict people’s hobbies. The main similarity between photo 1 and photo 2 is that they show young girls who are practically of the same age. Both girls keep fit and seem to be in a good mood enjoying their leisure time.

The most obvious difference between these pictures is kinds of hobbies which are cooking and snowboarding . Moreover, the girl in photo 1 is wearing summer clothes and is depicted indoors, while the girl in photo 2 is wearing warm clothes and is shown outdoors. To my mind she is taking a risk going snowboarding.

Общегосударственная экзаменация по английскому – это один из вариантов выборочного экзамена по иностранному языку. Его структура, сложность и наполнение ничем не отличается от немецкого, французского или испанского, которые также можно выбрать для прохождения . При этом стоит отметить несомненную популярность английского языка – официальная статистика говорит о том, что его желает сдавать около 9% выпускников ежегодно. Экзаменацию по иностранному языку простой не назовешь. К примеру, можно привести такой факт: два года назад английский язык сдавало примерно 70 000 учеников, при этом максимальное количество баллов (100) набрало только 11 школьников!

Изменения в экзамене

Напомним, что с прошлого года экзамен по иностранному стал гораздо сложнее – кроме тестовой части, предусматривающей письменные ответы, Минобразования решило ввести дополнительную устную часть. В разъяснительной записке от Министерства сказано, что ученик волен самостоятельно решать, будет ли он сдавать «говорение», однако вполне естественно, что без этой компоненты на максимальное количество баллов рассчитывать не приходится. Письменное и устное тестирование по английскому сдаются в два дня.


На письменную часть отведено 80 баллов; за говорение вы получите еще 20

Продолжительность письменной экзаменации по иностранному языку составляет 180 минут, в течение которых будущий абитуриент должен успеть выполнить значительное количество заданий – 46. Экзаменационный билет состоит из четырех компонентов:

  • Аудирование, в котором содержится 9 заданий (как показывает практика, на эту часть ученикам не стоит отводить больше 80-90 минут времени);
  • Чтение, в рамках которого выпускнику предлагается выполнить 9 заданий. Первая часть, включающая 2 задания, довольно проста – нужно суметь установить соответствие. Вторая часть (то есть еще 7 заданий) предусматривает выбор правильного ответа. На эту часть билета ученикам не стоит тратить более получаса;
  • Раздел по грамматике и лексике включает самое большое количество заданий – 20. Первая часть состоит из 13 заданий, предусматривающих краткий ответ. Оставшиеся 7 заданий предполагают выбор и запись правильного ответа. Выполнение данного раздела оптимально вложить в 40 минут времени;
  • Письмо, которое состоит из 2 заданий, представляющих собой небольшую письменную работу. Первое задание заключается в написании письма личного характера (100-140 слов). Второе предусматривает небольшое письменное рассуждение на определенную тематику и должно состоять из 200-250 слов. На эту работу не рекомендуется тратить более 70-80 минут. Данный вид работы вы можете сначала выполнить на черновике, однако не увлекайтесь пространным изложением мыслей. Если у вас не хватит времени, чтобы переписать задания начисто, ваш черновик оцениваться не будет.

Блок под названием «говорение» состоит из четырех компонентов. Ученикам будет предложено прочесть небольшой отрывок текста, сформулировать вопросы для интервью, составить рассказ на основании изображения и дать сравнительную оценку двух событий, запечатленных на фото.

Как распределяются баллы?

При сдаче письменной части экзамена ученик может максимально набрать 80 баллов. «Говорение» позволяет набрать еще до 20 максимальных баллов. Напомним также, что с 2015 года минимальный балл по данной дисциплине был повышен и составляет 22 балла.

Не забывайте о важности подготовки к аудированию – воспринимать информацию на слух не так просто, как кажется. Не менее серьезной подготовки требует и устная речь, ведь вы можете отлично писать, однако не будете хорошо говорить без тщательной отработки произношения. Скачайте несколько простых для понимания сериалов или фильмов на английском языке.

Для начала можно поискать версию с субтитрами. Постепенно усложняйте задачу – начните прослушивать аудиокниги (или отрывки из них). Подберите картинки из интернета на различную тематику и попытайтесь их описать. Сначала вы будете долго подбирать слова и заглядывать в словарь, но со временем вам станет проще говорить и понимать иностранную речь.

Устная часть ЕГЭ по английскому языку проводится отдельно от письменной в специально отведенный день. Тестирование проходит без участия экзаменаторов: ответы сохраняются в компьютере, затем записи прослушивают эксперты. Испытание состоит из четырех заданий, каждое из которых выдается после завершения предыдущего. На выполнение всего устного блока отводится 15 минут, время подсчитывается автоматически - таймер виден на экране компьютера.

Структура устной части экзамена

Задание №1

Экзаменуемому предлагается прочитать вслух текст научно-популярной тематики, который состоит из 150-160 слов. На подготовку и ответ отводится по 1,5 минуты. Текст должен быть озвучен со средней скоростью, без длинных пауз, громко и четко. Участник испытания может сделать до пяти фонетических ошибок, среди которых допускается не более одной-двух, искажающих смысл слов. Максимум за выполнение первого задания - 1 балл.

Даже если не вся лексика знакома, не надо паниковать - на это просто нет времени. Продуктивнее вспомнить общие правила чтения и произнести слово по стандартной фонетической модели - с вероятностью 99,9 % вы угадаете.

В статье могут присутствовать незнакомые слова-исключения со сложным произношением. Пугаться не стоит - вряд ли их будет больше пяти, значит, есть шанс не превысить лимит ошибок.

Вероятные трудности: большинство учеников допускает ошибки из-за недостаточной концентрации внимания. Сложности вызывает и довольно высокая скорость чтения, которая требуется, чтобы уложиться в полторы минуты. Чтобы потренироваться, во время подготовки к устной части ЕГЭ с секундомером в руках читайте тексты объемом 150-160 слов, делайте записи на диктофон/смартфон, потом прослушивайте их и критически оценивайте свои результаты.

Задание №2

Экзаменуемому предлагается за полторы минуты задать пять вопросов по теме рекламного объявления о путешествиях, спортивных событиях и т. д. Придумывать, о чем спрашивать, не надо: в задании даются ключевые слова, с каждым из них надо составить вопрос, соотносящийся с изображением и обозначенной тематикой. За грамматически правильно выстроенный вопрос дается один балл, соответственно, за всё второе задание максимально можно получить 5.

Чтобы справиться с заданием, освежите в памяти правила составления прямых вопросов - именно такой тип должен быть использван при его выполнении.

Вероятные трудности: есть риск составить вопрос, ответ на который будет неинформативен. Задача экзаменующегося - получить конкретные сведения по теме объявления (сколько стоит? где находится? и т. д.). Исходя из нее и надо формулировать вопросы.

Задание №3

Описание фотографий. На выбор предлагается три снимка со схожей тематикой, надо описать один из них строго по предоставленному плану:

  • Когда был сделан снимок.
  • Кто изображен на фотографии.
  • Что происходит на снимке.
  • Для чего/почему вы сделали это фото.
  • Почему вы решили показать фото своему другу.

На подготовку ответа дается 1,5 минуты, на его озвучивание – 2 минуты. По каждому пункту плана нужно придумать не менее трех предложений (описание на максимальную оценку должно состоять из 12-15 фраз). При соблюдении всех требований экзаменуемый может заработать 7 баллов.

Вероятные трудности: Должен получиться связный рассказ со вступительной и заключительной фразами. Они могут быть совершенно простыми (вроде "посмотри на этот снимок из моего фотоальбома"), но их наличие в описании обязательно. Поэтому заранее подготовьте универсальные вводные и связующие конструкции и заучите их до автоматизма.

И не забудьте назвать номер снимка, который описываете, и кликнуть на соответствующую цифру в зеленом поле под изображением.

Иначе получится так, как если бы вы на письменном экзамене перепутали поля для ответов в бланках - разбираться никто не будет.

Задание №4

Сравнение фотографий. Участнику устной части ЕГЭ по английскому предлагаются два, на первый взгляд, совершенно разных снимка. К примеру, на одном фото может изображаться ребенок на летнем лугу, на другом - дети, которые с энтузиазмом лепят снеговика. Задача экзаменующегося состоит в том, чтобы быстро найти то, что все-таки объединяет предложенные изображения, и с опорой на "общее звено" сравнить две фотографии. Ответ должен строиться строго по плану задания, на каждый пункт которого надо придумать не меньше трех предложений.

Чтобы получить максимальные 7 баллов, надо составить логичное, завершенное высказывание, отражающее все пять аспектов плана.

Вероятные трудности: сложно понять, о чем вообще надо говорить. Проблема решается просто: подсказка всегда содержится в четвертом пункте плана. Например, если сказано: say which of the seasons presented in the pictures you preferred as a child (к заданию с фотографиями детей на лугу и со снеговиком), то ориентиром послужит ключевое слово child, и рассказывать надо о том, что вам в детстве нравилось больше: зима или лето и почему.

Понятно, что общее у этих фотографий с играющим джаз-бандом и юным пианистом - музыка, отличие - ее стиль. В каком именно направлении двигаться для сравнения, подскажет пункт № 4 в плане. Расскажите, что вам больше нравится: классика и Бетховен или импровизация и Луи Армстронг. Это и будет причиной выбора в пользу вида концерта.
